How to Store Toffee: Keep It Fresh, Crunchy, and Delicious

How to Store Toffee: Keep It Fresh, Crunchy, and Delicious

You just opened a bag of Toffee Temptations—and yes, it’s perfectly crisp, buttery, and addictively good. But what if (somehow) you don’t finish it all in one go?

Here’s how to keep your toffee tasting just as fresh as the first bite.

🧺 Best Conditions for Storing Toffee

Toffee’s biggest enemies are moisture, heat, and sunlight. To keep it in peak condition:

  • Store it in a cool, dry place

  • Keep away from stoves, windows, and humid environments

  • Room temperature (around 60–70°F) is ideal

🔐 Our Resealable Bags Make It Easy

All of our toffee is packaged in heat-sealed, resealable bags. This means:

  • It stays ultra-fresh before you open it

  • Once opened, you can simply reseal the bag to keep out air and humidity

Just press the zipper seal closed after each use and your toffee will stay crisp and flavorful for weeks.

🧊 Should You Refrigerate or Freeze It?

We recommend not refrigerating toffee unless absolutely necessary—cold temps can affect texture and flavor, and create condensation.

If freezing:

  • Use an airtight container or leave it in our resealable bag inside a freezer-safe bag

  • Let it come to room temperature before opening to avoid moisture buildup

📆 Shelf Life

  • Unopened (sealed): Up to 6 weeks at room temperature

  • Opened & resealed properly: 2–3 weeks

  • Frozen: Up to 3 months, with proper protection from moisture

🧽 Bonus Tip: Keep It Dry

If your toffee ever feels slightly sticky, it may have absorbed moisture. It’s still delicious, but to restore crispness, leave it in a dry, sealed bag with a few grains of uncooked rice or a silica packet for a few hours.

✨ Treat It Like the Temptation It Is

Toffee Temptations is made in small batches, without preservatives, and always shipped fresh. With the right storage, it’ll stay crunchy, buttery, and dangerously snackable.
